About Kirsten

I'm an Iowa native living her best Cajun life in southern Louisiana. I'm a wife, mother of two, Accounting Analyst by day, and writer by night. Beyond writing and spending time with family, you can find me watching football, listening and dancing to music, reading, and doing an occasional puzzle. I also enjoy chocolate, Louisiana seafood, and a good steak.

I have loved writing for as long as I can remember. From writing stories for school assignments to writing poetry as a way of expressing my thoughts and emotions as a reserved, introverted teen. In my mid-twenties, I lost inspiration, used a busy schedule as an excuse, and gave up writing altogether.

Fast forward seven years, I had added marriage and two kids to what I thought was a busy schedule. As happy as I was, I felt something was missing. I started reading and listening to self-development books. I knew there was something more for me. I spent weeks praying for God to help me find my purpose. Then He did just that, placing in my heart the overwhelming need to start writing again. Cue the ugly crying!

Since that night, I have written many short stories, have been published in two separate anthologies, and am preparing for the release of my debut novel.

My recent work features perfectly imperfect women navigating the curve balls life can throw and the battles that wage between the head and the heart.

As scary as it is to share my work with the world, it is inexplicably fulfilling. I hope you find joy and connection in my words, and I look forward to walking through this journey with you.
